About Invigilo
Invigilo is one application a school adopts, with the modules inside it. We are not a surveillance company that spotted the school market: we build what a school needs in order to use AI in a way it can stand behind.
The background
AI reached the classroom faster than anyone could set a policy for it. Schools had to decide what was allowed, and no software could enforce or document that decision. Invigilo is built to close that gap.
Principles
They hold for every module we put into the application, including the ones that are not built yet.
At exams and the large written projects we enforce what the exam regulations require. Everywhere else, the AI policy the school itself chooses, from no AI at all to declared use. Never our own opinion of what AI may be used for.
The application sees only what the policy requires, and only inside the window the school opened. Outside it, everything is stripped on the student’s computer before anything is sent. No webcam, no microphone, no keystrokes, no national ID number.
The rules belong to the school. The tool is ours.
No student is flagged, assessed or judged automatically. The application points at something, and the teacher decides what it means. Nor do we claim a tool like ours cannot be circumvented: no tool in this category can.
Who is behind it
Invigilo is developed by Rapidlaunchcode ApS, a European software company. The servers sit in the EU, and we run the language model ourselves: there is no US cloud in the chain.
Vigila
The exam module is built, and we are testing it ourselves. The next step is a handful of schools willing to trial it at real exams and shape it together with their teachers and students before it is rolled out widely. Sign up and mention it in the message.
